Firrato’s traditional-method sparkling wine is made from 100 percent Nerello Mascalese sourced from the northeastern side of Mt. Etna. It spends 30 months en tirage prior to disgorgement. The wine crackles with snappy acidity, delivering a mid-palate of crunchy minerals and a saline finish. The flavors suggests red apple skin, lime peel, and bay leaf, but the freshness is also ornamented with sense of of nut and toast. It’s an outstanding value.
