2014 Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio Porer Südtirol

“Complicated, surprising, delicious...”

2014 Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio Porer Südtirol

Crunchy and lush at once, a fragrant bounty of stony citrus, fresh basil, and lime peels. The body is substantial, more expansive and coating than that saline, herbal scent suggests, plush with flavors of yellow apricot and peach. But the finish is cooling, like chalk. It reads a little like a lawn in late summer, at late day, washed with angled, streaming light and sparkled by a chorus of crickets.

Complicated, intricate, surprising, and delicious—and Demeter certified biodynamic. This is not your grandmother’s Pinot Grigio.
