This Pinot Noir is the winery’s inaugural release. Fruit is sourced from the estate’s own Bishop Creek Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton, plus vineyards in Eola-Amity Hills, McMinnville, and Dundee Hills. Farming is a mix of organic, biodynamic, and LIVE certified.
It is a wine about substance and acid. Substance: Its red fruit forms a circle. Acid: Its sharpness forms a frame. (This is not unusual for Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.) The whole is wreathed in cranberry-scented flowers and anchored by iron earth. Concentrated, ripe, and plummy, with a baked fruit finish, yet has levity from the acid. It feels newly minted.
