Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc – Viognier: Before and After

Pine Ridge
Chenin Blanc – Viognier
2008

This wine is 81% Chenin Blanc, 19% Viognier. It's nearly colorless, with a lightly floral, almost peachy nose. At first, it reads as Chenin Blanc: bright, ringing, and clear. On the back end, it reads as Viognier: velvety, with apricot and paperwhites. Over time, though, as it warms up a bit in the glass, these two become integrated, marrying beautifully on the palate.

We love wines that evolve in the glass. This is one of them.

Price: $16
