Its lustrous raspberry-tinted body suggests red clover, red currant, strawberry, and mint. The body shies from Gamay’s sometimes tannic texture. This is not an earthy wine, not dark or mineral, and there is little crunch here. Instead, it’s light-hearted refreshment, good with picnic fare.
