The Ehlers Sylviane Rosé is a blend of 60 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 40 percent Cabernet Franc, organically grown on the estate in St. Helena, Napa Valley. The juice was fermented then aged in a mix of stainless steel and second-use barrels. The result is saturated watermelon-pink with faint orange glints and scent of strawberries and honeydew. The palate is silky but structured, with abundant berry and stone fruit flavors. Overall this is a big mouthful of a wine, true to its fruit but also tonic and refreshing.
