2017 Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve Alsace

2017 Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve Alsace

Trimbach’s reserve Pinot is garnet colored and fragrant of high-toned cherries steeped in tarragon, thyme, and basil. The palate adds ripe red and dried flue fruits, while the acidity leans forward and drying tannins grip the finish. This wine has everything going on: fruit, herbs, tannin, acidity; the whole greater than the sum of parts. I’d like to taste it with some bottle age.
