Côtes du Crow’s is a Rhône-inspired wine with a tiny hat tip to Spain. A blend of 66 percent Grenache and 31 percent Syrah, it also has a dollop of Tempranillo. The fruit fermented in open-top tanks and the wine was moved to French oak, only a small fraction new, for ten months of aging. Its robe is a warm velvet red and perfumed with raspberry, cranberry, and anise seed. The body is medium-textured with red and black berry fruits ornamented by a filigree of spice. It’s a good wine for roasts, stews, and braises.
