2017 Donnafugata Grillo Sur Sur Sicilia

Bracing, tropical Grillo

2017 Donnafugata Grillo Sur Sur Sicilia DOC

Sur Sur is made from Grillo, a native Sicilian grape, sourced from Donnafugata’s Contessa Entellina estate and from neighboring Marsala vineyards. The fruit was fermented in stainless and aged in tank prior to bottling. It’s pale greenish yellow, very clear, and its aromas are pungent of green fruits (lime, mango, kiwi) and musk; it could easily be confused for Sauvignon Blanc. The palate has firm acidity and a grassy honeydew finish. Serve it well chilled with light-fleshed fish and seafood, steamed or lightly sautéed vegetables, or young cheeses.
