This wine is an elixir.
It is predominantly Albariño, but a small portion of white Muscat contributes stone fruit richness. The grapes were grown in the Sierra Foothills of Calaveras County, and were fermented and aged in a mix of stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels.
The results offer a gorgeous fragrance that mingles honeyed sweetness with pungent, sappy yellow fruits and pure, fine herbs. The body is silken and event-tempered, suggesting honeysuckle and Meyer lemon, white nectarine and herb-steeped peaches. And while the acid frame is delicate, the finish blazes like white sequins.
A complicated and intricate wine, layered and elegant, nearly prismatic, threaded with complexity like a tapestry struck by sunshine. Pair it with bloomy rind cheeses, mussels or rich shellfish, poultry, salmon—or just a glass.

Sounds great, and a fiscally moderate introduction to the winery, as opposed to the Cabernets.
It’s quite a deal.
