2016 Food and Wine Travel, In Pictures

In 2016 my food and wine travels took me to Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, and the U.S. to meet producers, walk their vineyards, and taste what their land yields.

My travels began in March, flowing from Rias Biaxas to Rioja, Priorat, and Penedes, then on to New York City, Vinho Verde, Vermont, Napa, Bordeaux, Sicily, Veneto, and Apulia, and landing at last in November on the Sonoma Coast.

I’m grateful as always to the winegrowers, winemakers, chefs, hosts, organizers and others for their generous hospitality and the opportunity to share their stories with readers.

Below is a tiny subset of this year’s travel highlights. Enjoy.
