A varietal Loureiro evincing the grape’s hallmark features: green peels, laurel leaf, field herbs, salt. But it’s a curious mélange overall, herbaceous and briny, yes, with a sharp, almost sour finish, but its kid-suede texture gives it heft and savoriness. It was spectacular with roasted wild mushrooms, the rich umami of the fungus counterbalanced by the saline freshness of the wine.
