A blend of 85 percent Verdejo and 15 percent Viura. Fruit was de-stemmed, briefly cold macerated, then pressed, preserving only the free-run juice. After vinification, the wine aged for two months on fine lees. Malolactic was suppressed.
The wine is abundantly floral, offering a lush perfume of jasmine and green flowers, Meyer lemon, lime peel. The body suggests focused citrus and finishes with a lean lemon-lime angularity, but overall this is an ample wine, one that can stand up to bold and rich flavors. It was particularly delicious with a mild Galician cow’s milk cheese called Bama, the wine drawing a line through the rich, creamy paste.
