2013 Tin Barn Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Hi Vista Vineyard Carneros, Sonoma County
Hi Vista Vineyard lies in western Carneros. It’s a windy plot. A small portion of the fruit was barrel fermented, but malolactic was suppressed. The body is clear pale yellow with green glints, and notes of green melon, lime peel, and white flowers wreath a body tinged with citrus and honeydew. The wine is cool, cooling, a tiny bit salty, and its finish like grapefruit pith feels grounding. Ripe but restrained, it wears its fruit well.
