2014 Easton Sauvignon Blanc Monarch Mine Vineyard Sierra Foothills
Crackly, fresh, and delicious, with lime and musky green berries. The fruit derives from two Bordeaux clones grown at 2,500 feet of elevation in the Monarch Mine Vineyard of the Sierra Foothills. It was cold fermented without malolactic, and the wine spent nine months in French oak with regular bâtonnage, adding texture and succulence. Pair it with goat’s milk cheeses, ceviche, guacamole, white fish and shrimp—any food that thirsts for green citrus freshness. Superb.
