2016 Vietti Arneis Roero DOCG

Thank Vietti for Arneis

2016 Vietti Arneis Roero DOCG

In the late 1960s, Vietti winemaker Alfredo Currado began to resurrect Piemonte’s Arneis plantations, and over time his efforts elevated this once forgotten variety to the region’s most celebrated white wine. The 2016 vintage is Vietti’s 50th anniversary edition. Its greenish-gold robe emits an elegant perfume of tree fruits and orchard flowers, and on the palate there is more pear and quince. Silken but not too soft, it also offers piquant acidity, savory grassiness, and a lightly astringent finish to counterbalance its glowing fruit.

Pair it with poultry, fish, and cow’s milk cheeses.
