“A complement to young cheeses, delicate meats, white-fleshed fish...”
Ablend of 41 percent Grenache Blanc, 34 percent Vermentino, and 25 percent Roussanne, the wine is a pale straw yellow with aromas of yellow melon, soft citrus, bay leaf, and barely ripe stone fruit. The body is soft, offering fleshy yellow apple and ripe pear, but with a rough-sawn edge likely hewn by the Roussanne. I’d like a little more angularity, here, more nerve and acid, but the wine’s spreading texture is a great complement to younger cheeses, delicate meats, and white-fleshed fish.
