2018 Lynmar Estate Pinot Noir Summit Block Quail Hill Vineyard Russian River Valley Sonoma County

Lynmar’s Summit Block Pinot is sourced from a specific block and clone from Quail Hill Vineyard. The wine spends ten months in French oak, 43 percent new. The robe is saturated red with a clear rim and highly aromatic, offering beach rose, wintergreen, and woodsy spice. The palate is likewise spicy, with a kick of clove-spiked fruit. The solid acidity flares out in a blast of shiny berries. Try it with smoky pulled pork; the barrel spice will be copacetic, the acidity cleansing.
