This wine is a blend of fourteen Pinot noir clones grown in the Quail Hill Vineyard. It’s deep red with a clear rim and fragrant of warm spices, potpourri, black raspberry, and cassis — which feels somewhat unusual for Pinot noir. The palate has nice acidity and is more red-fruited, but again there is ample spice inflection. Give this wine another six months or a year for the oak and fruit to knit together.
