2017 Niner Wine Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles

Woodsy Paso Cabernet

2017 Niner Wine Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles

Niner’s flagship red is an estate wine, about 90 percent Cabernet Sauvignon with a small amount of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The fruit was hand harvested and blocks were fermented separately. The blend aged 28 months in French oak barrels, 43% new, before bottling.

It’s woodsy, with notes of cedar, juniper, and juniper berry wafting over ripe black cherries. Its firm tannins add texture and astringency, while a hit of bitter coffee keeps the fruit in check. Well structured with plenty of life ahead.
