Frank Family’s Carneros Pinot Noir is a generous wine. Clearly ripe from the get-go, it inherited spice and additional perceived sweetness from ten months in French barriques, one-third new. I like a bit more steel and blood in Pinot Noir, but this wine will be a crowd-pleaser during a cocktail hour with snacks and cheeses.
