Green Grass

Veramonte
Reserva Sauvignon Blanc, Cassablanca Valley
2007

It's mud season in New Hampshire, but today we enjoyed streaming sun and 55 degrees, and our house warmed up to thoughts of Sauvignon Blanc. This one's from Chile, 20 miles from the Pacific coast, and its crisp acidity felt just right as the sun set on this warm spring day. There's lots of bright fruit here, lemony and grassy and refreshing. It tastes like the daffodils that will, one day soon, punctuate our lawn.

Price: $11
