A varietal traditional method Chardonnay made from Carneros-grown fruit. It’s all first cut juice, and the blend mixes six different base wines and spent 16 months en tirage.
After the pour the perlage is minuscule, almost silent, but the wine flares into fizz when sipped, delivering a pop of acidity and tart green apple piquancy. Suggestions of almond and marzipan mingle with this lemon peel and citrus, and a gingery note adds dimension. The finish is all lime juice. Good value.
