An all-estate Pinot Noir grown on 335 acres in cool Carneros. The wine spent nine months in barriques, mostly French with a tiny portion of Hungarian, only partially new.
Its robe is a pretty light raspberry color and sends up a sweet fragrance of ripe raspberries and summer herbs. A streak of dark earth contributes gravitas, but the body is primarily pointed and juicy, with lightly spiced red fruits.
Good for poultry, pork, salmon, charcuterie, medium-aged cheeses.
