Crackly and sunlight-crisp with a citrusy, yellow-flowered fragrance. The wine offers a silky greeting, then morphs into a minerally, laurel-steeped infusion of citrus and brine. The fruit was grown in sandy soils at 200 to 300 meters of elevation in Alto Adige, and it’s certainly a mountain wine, very cooling.
Pair this sharp-edged elixir with salty snacks, fresh cheeses, tomato caprese dressed with a young, fruity olive oil. If ever there was a wine for salad, it’s this.
