2016 Martin Ray Sauvignon Blanc Russian River Valley

The ripe, tropical style of Sauvignon Blanc

2016 Martin Ray Winery Sauvignon Blanc Russian River Valley

A varietal wine, whole-cluster pressed and inoculated. It’s piquant, with tingly acidity and notes of green citrus fruits, gooseberries, and the slightest hint of grass. Mostly, though, it’s a ripe wine, fruity and tropical and full-bodied, suggesting citrus and peels, melon and guava and ginger.

Pair it with sushi, salads, young cheeses (especially goat), maybe even macaroni and cheese.
