The Symposium convenes seasoned wine writers and authors for four days of learning.

I’m pleased to announce I’ve been awarded an Editor’s Choice fellowship to the 2017 Symposium for Professional Wine Writers.

Each year, the Symposium gathers up to forty wine journalists, authors, editors, and critics for four days at Meadowood Napa Valley. Fellows are selected based on their professional editorial status and the quality of their writing, and have the opportunity to engage with seasoned faculty via seminars, lectures, discussion, and individual advising.

Wine educator and author Kevin Zraly will keynote the 2017 event, while a dozen other notable wine professionals will round out the faculty, including Evan Goldstein MS, Leslie Sbrocco, Meridith May, Paul Gregutt, and Esther Mobley.

I offer thanks to my editor, Meridith May of The SOMM Journal, The Tasting Panel, and The Clever Root, for sponsoring my Editor’s Choice fellowship, and to Meadowood Napa Valley, the Napa Valley Vintners Association, and the Culinary Institute of America for hosting the event.

It’s a great honor to have been selected, and I look forward to a rewarding week in Napa.
