2013 Fields Family Wines Tempranillo Lodi Mokelumne River

“Lively, vibrant, glittery...”

2013 Fields Family Wines Tempranillo Lodi Mokelumne River

A clean and lively Tempranillo, fresh and plummy with a breath of herbs. The tannins are modest—it’s only slightly suggestive of its Spanish counterparts, in that regard—and it seems to derive its structure from acidity. The fruit inclines toward cranberry and red currant. At the finish there is a darkening, a gathering of sky, but this quickly dissipates in juiciness and sparkly acid.

Good for roasted fowl, pork, charcuterie, Marcona almonds, jamón.
