Twelve hours of skin contact give this varietal Loureiro substance and richness. Subsequent fermentation in one-third large neutral barrels and two-thirds concrete egg means nothing’s in the way. Pure pear and silky laurel fruits are spangled with field flowers and straw, like a meadow in sunlight tossed by a salty breeze. It’s a wine that marvelously balances complexity and delicacy.
