Lean-boned but underpinned by black cherry, deep anise, and black raspberry. High notes of field herbs and a resonant lower stratum of stone add dimension, but overall this is a restrained and elegant wine, with supple but focused tannins and keen acidity. More complicated than its price tag would suggest.
