Fruit Kapow

Alamos
Torrontés
2007

This Argentinian white is loaded with fruit and flowers, from apricot and peach through jasmine and lily of the valley. It has enough heft to handle the fruit load, plus enough acid to keep it from being cloying. It's what Viognier could be, but isn't, because, well, Viognier is French, and the French take themselves very seriously.

Price: $13
