Take small sips: this Zin is incredibly concentrated, lavish, and unrestrained. The nose bursts with the brightness of cherries, but is balanced with an earthy, smoky, plummy undercurrent. It's a little hot on the palate, but with so much else going on you hardly notice the heat: bramble fruits, spice, and a high, thin, herbal note. The finish lingers.
An amazing bargain for a very big wine.
