Casaretti’s Bardolino is a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella and is certified organic. The robe is limpid red with a watery rim, and the wine yields profusely floral aromatics, mostly of rose petals, but there’s also a sense of anise. The palate is lean, direct, and sharp, and the fruit skews blue, carried on a corduroy texture. It demands food and would be a good foil for the richness roasted meats.
