Gaja’s Magari Super Tuscan is 60 percent Cabernet Franc, 30 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10 percent Petit Verdot. It has a fresh ruby color with a pinkish, rim, and its aromas mingle red fruits with leafiness and woodsy barrel. The palate delivers opulent fruit and a brilliant red cherry finish. While the tannins are modest the acidity is firm, and at the finish the barrel returns to center stage. Age this wine for five years or longer to allow the elements to settle and harmonize.
