2013 Verruzzo di Monteverro Toscana

Chewy red blend good for winter foods

2013 Verruzzo di Monteverro Toscana IGT

The Veruzzo di Monteverro blends Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sangiovese sourced from the Maremma, on Tuscany’s coast. Deep ruby in color, it offers a concentrated fragrance of cedar, sandalwood, and black plums, and the texture is grippy but tamed by red-cherry acidity. The finish is darker, black-fruited and chewy. It’s a good companion to rich winter fare: braises, stews, game meats, salumi, aged cheeses.
