The varietally labeled Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon incorporates a quantity of Merlot plus a little Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. The fruit derives from estate and grower vineyards, and the wine was raised principally in French oak, mostly new.
It’s youthful now, still early days. The vibrant red-fruited fragrance conjures cassis, cranberries, and black bramble fruits and gets a lift from juniper and cypress. The robe is concentrated and velvet-red, and the profile balances the wine’s opulent fruit, spicy barrel notes, and firm structure. These elements feel harmonious now, but they’ll acquire more depth and complexity with a few years of bottle age.
Pair it with steak, rich stews, gratins, charcuterie.

Sipping on a glass of this now (airport lounge), and it’s quite nice. The oak is certainly prominent, but the overall fruit profile is very classy. Just a touch drying on the finish, but that should round out with time.
Quite a coincidence! Safe travels.
