A piquant wine, quite fruity, suggesting black pepper, berries, and spice. It has more grip than I expect from Gamay, with corduroy tannins like a velvety wave carrying flavors of strawberry and cherry. A suggestion of rosemary adds interest. Although it feels somewhat obvious and big for a Cru Beaujolais, it was great with Chicken Marbella.
