Léon Millot is a hybrid red grape varietal grown primarily in the eastern United States. According to The Wine Lover's Companion, the grape can produce full-bodied reds with chocolate overtones.
While this wine does have a slightly earthy, rosy nose, the palate is thin to the point of vanishing. Still, it's real wine, made right here in the north country of South Hero, Vermont. We laud the effort, and encourage you to seek out wines from your own region, too.
