2007 Jacques Robin Cuvée Kimmeridgienne Brut Champagne

Champagne is also a libation

2007 Jacques Robin Cuvée Kimmeridgienne Brut Champagne

Champagne is a wine for celebrations, but it is also a libation: a wine for love and a wine for loss. We opened this bottle to celebrate the life of a beloved friend: to remind ourselves of her smile, of how much we loved her and she loved us.

Ten long years in bottle have given this Pinot noir cuvée a savory sense of chestnut honey and brioche, of baked pineapple and lemon peel. But its core is spangled with scintillant acidity and its finish is all lit up.

Remembrance is immortality.
