2016 Anthony Nappa White Pinot Noir New York State

Good apéritif rosé of Pinot Noir

2016 Anthony Nappa Wines White Pinot Noir New York State

White Pinot Noir is simply a rosé, and Anthony Nappa Wines makes theirs from fruit grown on the North Fork of Long Island and in the Finger Lakes upstate. The fruit was direct-pressed and fermented cool, left un-oaked and not treated to malolactic. The result is a lightly peachy wine with a subtle fragrance of strawberries and herbs, and it’s savory on the mid-palate, with a salty, almost tawny finish. It’s good as an aperitif with pre-dinner snacks, and is a solid performer with shellfish, light fish, poultry, and cheese.
