Brilliant and shiny, its lovely limpid red velvet hue carries a clear rim. The wine is fragrant of purple flowers, green herbs, black raspberry fruits and leaf. A nearly 50/50 blend, it has the fruity charms of Lemberger plus Cab Franc’s violets and greenery. The structure is light-textured—not very drying, more sweet-dry, lilting.
This would be exceptional with pork loin with apples, onions, sage, cranberries. Also: poultry, young cheeses, charcuterie, pâté.
