2015 Rose Infinie Côtes de Provence Rosé and Blanc

2015 Rose Infinie Rosé Côtes de Provence AOP

Pale shell pink with an infinitesimally small amount of dissolved gas that blooms out of solution when first poured (it’s not texturally apparent on the palate). The nose suggests ripe banana and macerated strawberries, plus flint and cold steel. The fruit notes carry forward on the palate, which also evinces astringency (welcome) and acidity (modest). A cuvée of Grenache and Cinsault.

2015 Rose Infinie Blanc Côtes de Provence AOP

A blend of Rolle (Vermentino) and Ugni Blanc, with a faint pearlescent spritz, as with the rosé. The wine is hugely fragrant, quite floral, with a lemony banana top note. It reads as succulent, ample and fruity, smiling. Great for picnics, plein air, pescatarians.

Tasted both of these two weeks ago in France. Found them disappointing relative to price/quality ratio comparison with other wines from Provence.
