We recently enjoyed a 2007 Ridge Sonoma County Zinfandel, so much so that when I found @RidgeLS on Twitter, I clicked through to their website, browsed around a bit, and joined the wine club. Our first shipment arrived yesterday, two each of these three.
It helped that I'd recently read an article on Paul Draper, Ridge winemaker and CEO, and resonated with his non-interventionist style. And a few knowledgeable friends had also recently commented on how much they admire his wines.
So I was predisposed to a sale. But still, with Twitter as the referring source, this may be the wine industry's first confirmed social media success story.
