A Drouhin White

Pouilly-fuisse

Joseph Drouhin

2007

This white Burgundy smells of fresh linen and herbs. On the palate it's restrained, with lots of minerality, delivering a full Chardonnay experience without the oak. It offers good acid and structure, with peaches, pear, and basil on the finish. There's a lot going on here, and the experience evolves as the wine warms in the glass. Elegant and nuanced, it feels truly French.

  1. Pouilly-Fuisse always reminds me of my first dinner with my husband’s parents, when we were dating. We order it, not sure what year, but it was lovely and made for a special dinner and evening. -Chris Ann
