Submitting to Terroir Review
Terroir Review is a journal about nature, culture, food, wine, and place. Part food magazine, part literary journal, we aim to tackle important questions about food and its role in culture. Read more about Terroir, including this F.A.Q.
Terroir is now accepting submissions of previously unpublished writing about growing, cooking, eating, serving, and sharing food and drink — stories that illuminate why food matters. Photo essays are also considered. We’re particularly interested in personal narratives that explore the author’s perspective on terroir, place, and the cycles of physical and cultural nourishment.
We read on a quarterly basis, with submissions due on the 21st of March, June, September, and December. We allow simultaneous submissions, but request that you let us know promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere. We pay for all published work and retain exclusive rights for one year, after which the author is free to publish elsewhere provided Terroir is cited as first publication.
