2015 Lasseter Family Winery Rosé Enjoué Sonoma Valley

“Brisk and well-laundered...”

2015 Lasseter Family Winery Rosé Enjoué Sonoma Valley, Sonoma County

A  blend of 70 percent Syrah, 18 percent Mourvèdre, and 12 percent Grenache, farmed organically by famous (infamous?) Sonoma organic grower Phil Coturri. Fruit was sourced from the Justi Creek Vineyard’s Creekside Blocks, which lie along the east side of Calabasas Creek in Glen Ellen, the vines anchored in gravelly alluvial fan.

The wine is a pale watermelon pink with aromas of ripe strawberry, faint pine, and pink peppercorns. There is an ornament of dried herbs and macerated fruits, too, and the palate also suggests steeped or dried red berries. A rosé with good substance and a cleansing grip, but the general effect is brisk and well-laundered.
